Pleasant, good value Malbec (85% with 15% Merlot) with raspberry, dark plum, cocoa and pencil lead notes on a firm spine. Good focus and energy here, and quite food friendly to boot. — 4 years ago

Ruby to purple in the glass. Medium- to full-bodied, classically styled, primary crunchy cherry and blackberry fruit, this has a cool-climate feel with its bright and fresh aromatics, mouthwatering acidity and floral/spicy nuances to boot.

Nice evolution and well integrated. 92 that pushes 93.

The other wine from the great Napa producer, Philip Togni.

The mouthfeel is supple, round, soft, yet meaty and tarry tannins. Ripe, juicy, rich; blackberries, baked plum for days, dark cherries, black raspberries, hues of raspberries & boysenberries. Black licorice, berry cola, muddy, volcanic clay, herbaceous notes, soft baking spices, slightly, melted chocolate, dark spice with a touch of heat, coffee, dry crushed, rocks, dry stem, dry tobacco, new leather, oak to cedar shavings, volcanic ash, dark, slightly withering, red, blue flowers framed in a field of endless violets, rainfall acidity, great balance, nice tension/structure and a smartly polished finish that last a full minute.

If you own, I would drink over the next 3-4 years before it starts to slide.

Nice smooth black cherry front. Sneaky blueberry sliding in underneath. Light leather but not the boot. More like the bridle. Very nice mid- pallet with a flower touch. Dark in color but light in mouthfeel. Would be a Desert winner but dry enough to be a single sipper. Nice! Great with chocolate! — 2 years ago

Wowie. Dark, ripe, dry tannins, deep red fruits and iron. Showing some secondary aromas and flavors (espresso, rusty metal and earth) but tons of fruit to boot. This is in a great place but will keep evolving beautifully for years I suspect — 4 years ago
