Mushroom, tart cherry and cranberry, and dried out cigars. No sharp edges here. Elegant cranberry and raspberry fruit with touches of clove. Chalky too. Easy drinker. Can be opened now but no rush. Plenty of acid to carry the finish. — 5 years ago

I like this better than the last bottle I had (maybe 2 - 3 years ago?). I remember the oak sticking out like a sore thumb. Now, it’s nearly fully integrated and this tastes like a good Burgundy. Dark earthy sappy cherry on the nose. Oak barely discernible. On the palate, nice intensity and balance. Some chalky but soft tannin coats the mouth, but it’s not unpleasant. As in the nose, the fruit and gravelly earth are taking the lead in the palate, with oak char fading into the background. Time has been kind to this one. — 9 days ago
