Such an enjoyable Rose. Sequoia NP. Dry Farm Wines. — 6 years ago
Really enjoyed this. I got lots of dark fruit and oak with some blood orange. Drank while the sun set over canyonlands NP in southern UT. Perfect evening! — 7 years ago
Domaine Perrier st Joseph Gabriel
Blackberry. Lilacs graphite. Some blackberry licorice.
Palate starts hot. Then calms down. Soft blackberries. Juicy. Soft. Lacks grip. Low acid on mid palate. Sweet fruit. Not much complexity.
Finish is meh. — 3 years ago

Very enjoyable. Easy drinking. Sequoia NP. Dry Farm Wines. — 6 years ago
Prefect example of how the combination of wine, place, and people can lend themselves to pure happiness, if only for a few hours and 750mL. Enjoyed this 2010 bottling at the Ahwahnee Lodge dinning room (Yosemite NP) with rack of lamb and roasted autumn vegetables. Showing great concentration, age, and structure. Cheers to more moments like this one! — 7 years ago
Complex, brooding and reflective of a solid vintage! Pointed acid attacks quickly, then gives way to impressive tannins that are fine grain and reach high - filling the roof with wonder & amazement. Lamb burgers, np!! — 3 years ago
Great wine from a boutique NP-VQA winery with linage to old vines. Nose on opening of honeydew melon. Initially a taste of fresh cut Apple 🍏
As it opens the transition is to Meyer Lemons with mid point of white grapefruit & finish of white stone minerality.
The wine body is light with a finish that’s crisp & clean. Cheers🥂 — 4 years ago
Ceccherini Cristiano
Only 3600 btls produced
I went to an Enoteca to look for work and ended up leaving with a mixed 6 packed box of wine
Guarnaccino, they told me, is the real only indigenous grape of Basilicata🤷♂️🤔....
However the story is..yes there is a story...
I got invited at a friend of mine's house for a glass of wine...he lives in the NP, surrounded by the forest and mountains... he pulls a rope from the creek(yes there's a creek in the property) with a cold , hanging bottle of rose self produced andhe says...ah, the grapes come from Chiaromonte, i do nothing, i wait a week for yeasts to do their work, then i wait more till the wine is good, Chiaromonte is wine territory, good wine, let's see what you think....the wine was delicious, refreshing and crisp drank out of shot glasses.
Well when i saw this very first bottle of rose from Chiaramonte i grabbed it at once, before i was told about the indigenous grape thing, but it fits somehow in the plot
Anyway i am very happy to see that out of this region we have marvellous wines that are unknown to the mainstream, but they are there available for you to enjoy.
This rose screams joy, it's crisp, clean and long and so easy to drink that it looks like it evaporates — 2 years ago
