Excellent Malbec from One of the best wineries In Mendoza — 5 years ago
The Maximus Gran Reserva Malbec shows plums, cherries, raspberries, black currants, wood, vegetables, spices and black pepper.
Medium plus in body, smooth and elegant, with medium acidity and a tangy finish with soft tannins.
Better after an hour of airtime, but good right out of the bottle.
Nice by itself or with food. This six-year-old is drinking very nicely now. Very pleasant.
A blend of 80% Malbec, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Syrah. Aged in French Oak barrels for 18 months.
I paired it with cheeses and crackers.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

I found it too sweet. Blind it’s impossible to know that it’s a Malbec. I find Malbec hard to taste blind anyway, but this didn’t seem New World and didn’t seem from Argentina — a year ago
Light, and slightly sweet. Would be great chilled in the summer. Reminds me of a Reisling. — 3 years ago

This is a very tasty six-year-old Malbec from Mendoza. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.
Showing black fruits with vegetables, light vanilla, spices, black olives, earth, bitter herbs, barnyard, wood, tobacco, dark coffee and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and soft tannins.
I had it before, and this time I had it right out of the bottle, and it was really nice.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a cheese plate.
