So fragrant. Floral nose, viscous palate of honey and spice and rosewater with a little residual sugar. Very lovely. — 6 years ago
Gun powder, fresh grape juice, honey on the nose. Very nice. The palate is sweet but balanced with a sheer acid backbone that drives it very far. Nice layers of fruits and honey on the sides and an everlasting grape and honey finish that lingers. Very good and not heavy at all — 7 years ago
A golden pear hue on the eyes, this Alsatian blend of Riesling, Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Muscat, Pinot Gris, and Gewurtztraminer has a rich, viscous bit of swirl to it which leads to an ample helping of white fruits and limestone on the nose. After a bit of a breath the body gracefully develops and concentrates into a single and soulful note that works all of the wine’s components into an extremely well-balanced expression of all that’s involved. These kinds of white blends from Alsace, to me at least, are a dramatically over-looked treasures that (for the moment) are waiting patiently for those of us thirsty at our local wine shops. — 2 months ago
Superb. Such intensity and linearity and youthfulness even at 8 years old. It’s a baby still. Gloriously balanced and drinks beautifully right now, but I can’t help but wonder what’s to come as it opens up over a decade or two. Love it! — 6 years ago
Natty Riesling from the Pfersigberg Grand cru in Eguisheim. Quite aromatic. Ripe fruit, peach, mineral notes and hints of herbs. Medium bodied, quite ripe and round — 3 years ago
Fascinating comparison with its Pfersigberg sibling from the same vintage. It’s a little more developed — fleshed out a bit with some luscious fruit flavours — but still young. Great wines. — 6 years ago
Floral on the nose, tastes of bruised peach and nectarine with a little acidity... Delicious on a warm Sunday afternoon... — 6 years ago
