This is 2016 vintage and a gift opened May 30, 2019 for grilled chicken. The aroma is very mild with touch of vanilla to smooth it out. Taste smooth, dry and hint of apple with vanilla and minimal or no butter. Actually very pleasant and would recommend if you see it. I’ll try again. — 7 years ago

I know now this needs more time to integrate, but it’s down-soft in the background, so difficult to see a balanced future. Warm plum and black berry-currant, cranberry stuffing, rich chocolate, sherry trifle, all loosely sprinkled with fine graphite. Steamy jungle flora notes merge with hemp stem and black cherry skins. Hard chocolate entry bringing dried blackberry and even drier black cherry stripped naked in a sauna of chamomile and phantom eucalyptus outlines describing a swarthy shadow through steam. A recent denizen of the cedar benches, puffing sweet tobaccos? There is subtle power at play despite the fruit-forward leanings. I was initially on the fence with this. Apple pear. Bade dried with a freshness to it. I joked about needing a calibration since I feel like I have phantom oxidation but this was well integrated. Celebrating another publication this year, for a total of 13 pieces: 10 short stories and 3 installments of the beverage column, Liquid Carriage at No Contact.

Described to me by the owner and resident vino at Frankly in TriBeCa as an electric Chenin that changes over a few days from slightly bready to fresh and zippy to Burgundian-like.

I had to experience this chameleon of flavors.

Fresh Focaccia on the nose. Bready and boozy in the bouquet. Aromas of tropical fruit, papaya and lemongrass.

Super well balanced, fresh acid, nice RS, beautiful softness like rose petal mouthfeel.

Yes Syrah! This red is not for the faint of heart. It’s a dry vintage and unforgiving under the wrong tongue. My advice is to wait for the 2nd or even 3rd aftertaste, as you might be surprised by sensations you’ve never noticed before. — 8 years ago
