Fausto Safra Tannat 2017

His wine is very underrated. At least the 2017 harvest. I apologise to the other folks who scored this wine but this is a delicious wine. I opened the bottle and my wife knew immediately that this was a South American wine and guessed it was a garzon. Honestly, if not better this wine is as good as garzon tannat. Cioccolato, lots of red berries and leather notes. Coffee and a little vanilla on the palate. It is a pity this wine isn’t available in the USA and only 20.000 bottles of this vintage were produced. I will certainly buy it again in my next trip. — 5 years ago

Fausto Merlot 2017

There is smokey start to this nose, with a bit of vanilla and red forest fruits and maybe raspberries. Quite interesting but rthe smokyness is strong. The palate is well balanced with a creamy touch, a nice red forest fruit note all along, a soft mouthfeel and a good width. Very gentle tannins in mid palate and a rather long fruity finish. This is very well made! First Brazilian wine and a good first impression — 4 years ago

Fausto Verve Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2011

Dark inky in color with a short, dirty brick rim.

Strong nose of black currants, cooked plums, oak, licorice, spices, coffee, pencil lead, cola, peppercorn, leather, bone fire smoke, dark chocolates and sweet candy.

Full bodied and soft with medium plus acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, strawberries, currants, wood, licorice, spices, dark chocolates, black pepper, graphite, peppercorn, leather, vegetables, tobacco and espresso.

Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tart raspberries.

This is a very nice Brazilian Cabernet Sauvignon blend. Feels like an old world wine.

This 8 year old has a nice mouthfeel, but not fully balanced. The mid palate is very tasty, until the ending, which is a bit too tart for my taste. I actually liked the nose better than the palate.

Needs 90 minutes to open up properly and remove the barnyard notes.

Paired very nicely with food.

Thank you Alex for sharing.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Tannant. Aged in Oak barrels. A small production of only 4250 bottles. This blend was only produced in this 2011 vintage.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

Very impressive Merlot from Brazil! Full bodied, fruit forward, velvety tannins, and very approachable. Apparently, Vale dos Vinhedos is Brazil's oldest and traditional wine region which dates back to the 1870s with Italian immigrants. Although wine from the region is produced in small quantities, like the vineyards, the Venetian dialect still continues today with Brazilians of Italian decent.

A special wine shared with our favorite couple!

Muito obrigado Luciano e Kelly!!

Fausto Chardonnay 2019

Clean, airy, and light; it almost tastes like a savignon blanc, but here in the heat of Brazil tastes can be deceiving. Aged in oak in cool, dark caves after being harvested in the heat, can taste olive, pomegranate, and walnut in this very nice wine. — 5 years ago

Vertigo Branco Espumante Natural 2016

Delicious sparkling from Brazil. Citric fruits, white flowers and fresh bread notes. Decent alcohol balance and refreshing acidity. This wine is made using the champenoise method and honestly it literally tastes as good any champagne from France or Franciacorta from Italy. — 5 years ago
