Couldn’t resist opening one of the newly arrived 2016 Pajès from Roagna. It opens with an earthy/clay nose and is a translucent brick red in the glass. Hints of rose, cherry, cocoa and red berries mixed with sharp, drying tannins. High potential and glad to have a benchmark while I lay a few more of these and some Vecchi Vitis down for a while. — 3 years ago

Another if the nearly 1400 vitis vinifera grape varietals, from a producer I love ❤️.
Schiava is a white wine dressed up as a red wine, like a pretty girl dressed up at Halloween as a male figure, say David Bowie or Michael Jackson — 2 years ago

Pale ruby in color; black cherries, tabacco, and potting soil on the nose; high acidity, medium plus tannins; tastes like dried strawberries, raspberries, bkackberry jam, and wet slate with a long finish. I really like this wine. Nellie likes it too. — 5 months ago
