It is Friday night and I have opened the 2016 Hall Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley. The Hall Cabernet Sauvignons I first tasted several years ago in Palm Springs, CA with close friends. Ever since that first tasting I have become a fan of the Hall brand. Thank you Jim for bring them to our wonderful gathering.
On the nose there is blackberry, black cherry, black currant, chocolate, mint, violet, pencil lead and an earthy note.
On the palate there is black cherry, blackberry, green bell pepper, black currant, milk chocolate, fine integrated oak and dark soil.
This wine is full bodied with supple mouthfeel, medium+ acidity and medium+ sandy tannins that leads you right into a long dark fruit finish. Have a great weekend, rest, rejuvenate and be close with family and friends. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 5 years ago
2005 vintage. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Surprisingly this seems to rejuvenate in the glass with ripe cherry fruit complementing the tertiary aromas (tobacco, mocha). Medium-bodied, with a serious ripe tannic structure, fresh acidity, a certain complexity and good length. Another great example of the ageing potential of the more "humble" Bordeaux regions. — 4 years ago
I would swim in this wine. I’m not kidding. I feel like it would rejuvenate me and my body. Slightly bubbly- soft and delicate. Pinkish orange hue, like a light salmon perhaps that catches the light. Funky with peaches and salt. There’s never been a wine more perfect — 5 years ago
This wine was lovely! Not to dry or sweet and a nice dark fruit notes. — 11 years ago

No complaints here - it was an apt night cap. Lovely energy to rejuvenate the palate, all without being too austere. Generous fruit core of apples, strawberries, citrus, and hints of preserved plums. Excellent with some Wagyu cold cuts. — 3 years ago
