Debut vintage of this and it slays. Nose is ripe as 15 can be but it is infinitely complex. Tar, roses, deep cherry fruit. Glorious spice and so nuanced. Just keeps opening. After 5 minutes it’s changed 8 times. Wow. This is a dream. As supple as the most elite Burgundy and so sweet! Wow. This is as Chambolle as it gets. Perfect balance and stunning purity and depth. Velvet and silk of the highest level. This is the best 15 Barolo I’ve ever had. It’s not close. Wow. Sweet, sensual and silky palate that has the spherical effect in spades. Nose is impossible complex. Unreal concentration and freshness. This is mindbending. Sadly only 36 bottles. Start begging!
This has the balance that only super .0001% elite wines have. This is stunning. — 5 years ago
Beautiful concentrated Amarone, raisins, figs and dates in on palate, long aftertaste. Delicious! — 7 years ago
A smooth rich wine. Really enjoyed. — 8 years ago
Light body, Fruitiness on the front, good minerality in the mid palette , and tart like a cranberry. — 9 years ago

Lovely wine both in color and taste. Great with Italian cheeses. — 12 years ago
Futili wine that is smooth, kind of creamy (not in a California Chardonnay kind of way though), that tastes a little like white flowers and linen. Just delicious. — 9 months ago
Incredibly mineral. The nose is all flint and wet stone. Seriously, this is smelling the sidewalk after a summer rain. On the palate you definitely get that minerality in the sense of an almost metallic twang, along with some lemon peel. Just a mouth watering, perfect food wine. — 4 years ago
With risotto in Milan Italy. Paired well. Light red. Good for cool evening with friends or date. — 7 years ago

One of our favorite recent whites in recent memory — 11 years ago
With fruits from the San Pietro cru in Monforte d'Alba and aging in stainless steel and amphora for 10 month only, this is a simplistic yet beautiful interpretation of Nebbiolo.
Ripe cherry, strawberry, plum, rose petals with just hint of forest floor. Medium elegant body. Vibrant yet composed. Soft dusty tannins. Just lovely. — 2 years ago
More of the same aromatic, so we'll balanced that it almost doesn't feel as if it has more stuffing but just radiates an impression of solidity and confidence that seems to demand time in the bottle. — 4 years ago
Discovered this while touring Barolo. Rare grape. Excellent from front to finish. Starts with pleasant floral with pepper in the middle. Well balanced and unique. Taking some home. — 7 years ago
What a beautifully sculpted, profound Percarlo. The wine has incredible purity of fruit and a wonderful perfume of cherries, essence of cherry liqueur. I've had the fortune of enjoying my fair share of outstanding bottles of this wine from different vintages, including a magnum of the 1997 with my brother at San Pietro di Positano and a bottle of the 1999 with my parents at All'olivo in Lucca. This wine brings up the best of Tuscany and it's usually a thrill to drink. — 8 years ago
Infanticide can be delicious. The early onset of winter in Seattle called for a big wine for pappardelle alla bolognese. Decanted 2+ hours and served at cellar temp. Initially a bit of a mess--wood, tannins, heat--started to come together after the first glass. Classic nebbiolo notes of dusty cherries, foliage, pepper. Big and beautiful, not quite in prime form. And yet, je ne regrette rien... 🍷💯👌🏼🍝 — 9 years ago

Very nice Barolo from a year I haven’t had much of. Needs an hour+ of air to balance out. Tons of cherry on the nose. Palate is intense, in a good way - the fruit hits hard and persists with mouth staining power. Long finish with excellent acid. Structure on the finish is still quite serious, but with food (a long simmered beef shin and pork shoulder ragu this time) does very well. — 5 months ago
