Verve Grenache Blend

A Grenache blend like no other from the Alisos Canyon in Santa Barbara. A truly unique age-worthy blend of Grenache, Syrah, Petit Verdot and Roussanne grapes. Deliciously complex, bounty of red berries all over, graceful acidity and surprisingly mid-to-low tannins. Mouthfeel is exceptional and jumps a bit on the fruit side as it clears from the back end of the palate. — 3 months ago

Misfit Syrah Blend 2015

Always a proprietary blend, in 2015 winemaker Mattias Pippig has composed the 'Misfit' using Syrah with Grenache, Cabernet Franc, Petite Syrah and Viognier. Inky and dense in the glass, the wine slowly yields intense aromas of mocha, Asian spice, crème de cassis and damp earth aromatics that all build in the glass. The palate shows sensational weight and texture, while the Viognier adds some floral tones on the mid-palate. Dense dark fruits connect with coffee grounds and creosote flavors as it displays a sensational combination of weight and poise. An absolutely fabulous wine, this should continue to evolve beautifully for over a decade. Drink 2019-2035- 94 — 6 years ago

Gravity Proprietary Red Wine 2009

Syrah, Cab, and Viognier. The bottle age and splash of white certainly helped smooth out this monster. Blood, tar, burned wood, … black fruit takes a back seat. — 2 years ago

Loner R12-b John Sebastiano Vineyard Pinot Noir

A magnificent Pinot from the Santa Rita Hills. Matthias casts his magic and the results are phenomenal. I would swear this was a Syrah, but not a drop. A perfect melody of bright berry notes together with deep, dark fruit that’s almost savory. A bargain at any price. @Delectable Wine this is the Backseat Freestyle. — 4 years ago
