Campari but…better? — 4 years ago
Medium lemon , light copper hue . Some light but persistent bubbles still. This is quite serious and rich on the nose , with some orange rind , walnut , touch of mushroom and meaty , soy hints . Quite rich , intense and dense on the palate but with good freshness still , long with orange rind and walnut. Perfect now and over the next 5 years or so . Estate dates back to Crusades & Scottish navigator, George Smith, owner in the 18th century. Blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot aged in 20% new oak, deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry, herbs and earthy spice. On the palate flavors of plum, cherry & currant with notes of pepper, tobacco & cacao notes. Soft rich full tannins, long finish ending with fruit, earthy and mineral character, needs a little more time. — 3 years ago
I love a bottle of cab I can open and right away tastes good. Another amazing cab from AJ Pearce. Full bodied with nice structure. Slight tannins to round out. — 6 years ago
Love this. Uncomplicated but lush Cab at a cracking price! Juicy, blackberry and bramble really tasty and well balanced. Could drink for breakfast….: — 5 months ago

I have long been a fan of St. George for a long time, and this confirms my high opinion of them. Nose of rye spice with vanilla and bananas foster, and on the taste, honey-sweetened tea with clove and pepper, masala tea spices, oak, and bitter chocolate. Orange emerges immediately on the finish with subsequent honey. — 5 years ago
The George De Latour always delivers an exceptional glass of wine! The last bottle we had was in 2012 ( a gift from our good friend Charlie) after a 60 day cleanse and then as now it delivers that special quality we all want from a glass of wine. PERFECT! This Jeroboam was opened and poured into decanters prior to service and enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2013 Baker’s Ridge pours a ruby color with a translucent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of Bing cherry, strawberry, cherry cola, red flowers, licorice, a touch of mushroom and earth with some fine spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ with a slightly confected texture. Large formats are always fun at celebrations and this was no exception. Drink now through 2033. — 3 days ago
