The GM of The Soho Grand sent us this as a gift upon arrival. It was a perfect pino noir - light and delicious! — 3 years ago
Sto cercando alcune botteglie da questo domaine a NY. L’ho trovato al ristorante italiano in Soho. Molto buono anche pinot griggio sarebbe piu acidita di solito per me. E equibilibrato in gusto. Mi piacerebbe Vie di romance. Spero che posso avere di nuovo presto. — 6 years ago

Loved how juicy it was with our pesto gnocchi. Drank with Chelsea at Ciccio in SoHo & paid $40 for a bottle.

Pretty deep garnet ruby , garnet rim . This is pretty open and aromatic, with smoky creme de cassis , grafite , blackberry and cedar , light herbal touches , really quite classic and noble . On the palate this has good balance and density , good freshness also . Ripe , very fine but perceptible tannins . Dark fruits , grafite , tobacco , long and detailed slightly mineral notes on the good length finish . Really elegant , though quite serious and traditional, not easy to pull off. This is drinking perfectly now (Coravin might have helped here , I would certainly decant if I had a full bottle) , though still quite fruit driven with some tertiary complexity coming through . Really harmonious and complex . From now and over the next 15 years, maybe more . At Doppo Restaurant, Soho . — a year ago

I still remember the first time I drank a Cristal, when a friend popped open a bottle (that he bought duty-free on a trans-Atlantic flight) at his SoHo apartment some 20+ years ago. Wasn’t much of a wine drinker then, but how wine could taste this good?!
Though from a lesser grand vintage, the 07’ did not disappoint. The purity of the fruits and chalky minerality are second to none. Crystal clear acidity provide great tension throughout. Graceful textured full body.

Medium ruby with quite a terracotta , garnet rim . Quite sweetly spiced nose , red cherries , cedar , dried spice and some strawberry coulis , earthy undertones . Pretty young and fruit forward at the moment . This is quite elegant and perfumed on the palate with lots of fresh red fruits , cedar and dried sage . Balanced acidity and ripe but slightly grippy tannins . This has good length and a saline finish . Quite young still but enjoyable at the moment , will continue to show well over the next 10 years , maybe more. At Doppo restaurant, Soho . — a year ago

Buenos Aires, January 2019 with Angela and Norma at Borges 2018 in Palermo Soho Airbnb. Bought around corner at Vinosfera Wine Gallery. Delicious. — 7 years ago
Swung by The Dutch, a sceney Soho spot, to see a dear friend who was branching there. This Champagne has some nice toasty notes, a good degree of acidity and fresh lime elements. Good by itself and, if one were so inclined for brunch, I'm sure it would be good with a dash of orange. I wasn't so inclined, this time. — 8 years ago
