Summit Creek Zinfandel

Excellent flavor with a distinct aged note. Smooth to the finish, and bold but not at all too bold. — 6 days ago

Note that this is the “North Coast” Trousseau, not “Clear Lake”. 2022 vintage. Beautiful wine - cherries, tobacco, a bit of leather, rose water. Almost like a very light Barbaresco. Lovely wine. — 3 months ago

Archery Summit

Red Hills Estate Dundee Hills Pinot Noir 2009

A classic example of how a wine evolves with an hour or so in the glass! Great acidity, dried fruit on the nose and velvety tannins. I loved this wine at release and am delighted how it evolved. Bright red fruit notes - but subdued. — 5 months ago

Forge Cellars

Classique Seneca Lake Dry Riesling 2021

Very interesting and very different from the three previous single vineyard Forge Rieslings we tried. Floral, with a more distinct but still mellow hint of Riesling plastic poncho. A lot of white pepper and cumin, followed by a grassy finish. — 2 months ago

Heron Lake Vineyard Chardonnay 2020

Quite Chablis like. Just 600 bottles made. Not super complex. More on the subtle side. Lemon and touch herbs 🌿. 12.8%. One of the the producers which are on the burgh side of the spectrum. — a month ago

Magdalena Vineyard Riesling 2020

Slight lemongrass bouquet. Slight and subtle fresh aromas.

Bought two of these so I could taste one after some years.

Super balanced. A rush of fresh effervescence and meadow like palate. Blades of supple grass, a beautiful chew, bracing acidity balanced with nice mineralogy.

Very elegant. And quaffable. Slight petrol note towards the end but nicely accentuates the overall expression of Riesling.
