I’m loving the aromatics on this rosato from Veneto, Italy! 🇮🇹
@lulu_lara_g I can see (and taste) why you enjoyed it so much and agree there is a lot to unpack here! 🤔🧐
It’s comprised of 100% Rondinella grapes, native to Italy. This variety is a common blending partner in the red wines of Valpolicella and Bardolina. 🍇 Here it’s holding its own at center stage with notable florals on the nose, including elderflower, rose, and chamomile, alongside fruit notes of starfruit, cantaloup, raspberry, grapefruit pith, fresh herbal notes of chervil and fennel, and wet stone. 🌹
On the palate, it’s dry, has medium acidity, medium alcohol, and medium intensity in flavors. Flavors are largely consistent with the nose, but I’m also tasting Smarties candies -- both sweet and tart/tangy at the same time. It brings me back.

Very light colored. Candy- like in some ways. Lots a pepper- spice. Had this with a shallot- pancetta-Parmesan risotto- only with farro rather than spice. Very nice- not overpowering at all. I’ve found this winery’s wines excellent. — 2 months ago
My first Ripasso!!! Wow!!! Ruby colored with wood and cherry aromas. This is a big bold wine that is very smooth. It’s boldness reminds me of a Cabernet Sauvignon. Cherry, wood, and plenty of spice notes with a fairly long finish. Went well with our Leg of Lamb! — 3 years ago
Think it’s a little young?? Idk, very good. Think it could enrich in time. Coal, oak, smoky, but a little too red fruity on after taste. However after a glass that acidity is very nice. Maybe it just needed to open up. — 7 months ago
Reona's birthday dinner wine. Needed decanting and a lot of airing to open up and take the edge off. — 2 years ago

Bought this at spar as was 50% off (should be chf 20) to drink at Nanikos. Really like it! “Wet” texture - Really not dry. Almost like juice. Quite fruity. It’s good! — 4 years ago

Another light and bright Northern Italian food wine. From the Veneto. Corvina grape. Red fruit and crisp acidity. Perfect quaffer. — 2 months ago
