Vintage 2021 | see earlier note | 6 months barrel aging and this was to be seen in a gold colour that makes you think the wine is older when tasted blind | vines between 50 and 70 years old | fine smell with vanilla, ananas, mango and melon. Another excellent vintage of this Alsatian classic. Blend of Gewurtztraminer (30%), Pinot Gris (24%), Riesling (19%), Sylvaner (18%), Pinot Blanc (6%) and Muscatel (3%). Pale yellow color with light green highlights. Fresh aromas and flavors of green apple, Asian pear, white flowers, quince, lemon and tropical fruit. Touch of spice on the long, nutty and crisp finish. Medium bodied and well balanced. Bracing acidity, nice structure and bone dry. So fresh and clean. Thanks for the glass, Chris B! — 19 days ago
