Beautiful: dark, quiet, powerful. Nothing extraneous. Lead with minerals, graphite, tobacco on top of a layer of dry black and red fruit. Tannins were mild. Fit the room (The Grill, NYC) and the meal (Thanksgiving) perfectly. — 2 years ago

Red berries on nose. Strawberry, blackberry, plum and leather with bright acidity and assertive tannins. Too tannic on its own, but excellent with Thanksgiving dinner — 6 years ago
NV Rose en Magnum. Excellent Thanksgiving starter with cheese appetizers. Is there some left? Yes, it was very generous. My champagne stopper didn’t fit but was able to push the cork back in and hold it with the wire. — 7 years ago

Old Vine Gamay on Thanksgiving 2025. Murky ruby color. Aromas of red berries, wet stones, red flowers and sweet spices. Flavors of red plums, sour red cherries and raspberries, cranberries and baking spices. Distinct iron/granite note on the medium-plus finish. Medium body, soft tannins and ample acidity. A bit muddy. Reasonable Beauj. — 7 months ago
