Initially gave a blast of bright red fruit and vanilla. 2 hours later, it had really hit its stride with the cherry melting into leather and long tannins. Excellent Toro value — 23 days ago
Wow. Nearly perfect Rioja at 17 years. — a month ago
This wine has a medium-dark ruby color. The first thing I notice is the oak. It seems very oaky, despite only six months in wood. The nose offers a smokey note, which I always like to find. There are aromas of ripe cherries, berries and plums. Those fruits also appear on the palate, where oak again dominates. The tannins are firm, but not overpowering. The mouthfeel is rich and full. I had mine with a brisket sandwich and it paired very well. — 11 days ago

Ten year old Malbec from Lujan de Cuyo. Full bodied. Layers of dry fruit of. Plum and red currant. Subtle notes of oak and well integrated tannins on the back ground. Shy on acidity. Went flat in about an hour. We will be going to Argentina and Chill this late Fall. You can follow our travels by signing up to our newsletter at spokenwines.com. Cheers. — 7 days ago
