Cecilia Monte

Serracapelli Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2015

Nose: dark lilacs. Penetrating.

Palate: deep midseason cherries. Great grip. Sweet spice.

A remarkable job in a vintage the critics loved but was actually quite challenging (heat). The opposite of 18.

Freeda Trevenezie Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé Blend 2022

This wine has a distinctive light copper color. Its nose is full of sweet, ripe strawberry and cherry aromas, with a bit of lemon zest minerality. The palate brings the red fruit and a strong minerality. Acidity is fresh and the finish is medium length. A pairing will be no problem with such a food friendly wine. Seafood, salads and risotto are all excellent choices. — 3 months ago

@Ken Z Josephine no question. Especially for red. Josephine is actually made by zalto but I much prefer that line…

I thought it was a new venture from the previous owner of zalto to break away from the family business and do his own thing. I generally find I prefer my zalto glasses over my Reidel ones, but only around 80% of the time, and almost never for specific varietals (sangiovese). Just curious on your experience.

I learn something every day! I find the Josephine 3 brings Pinot to a place no other glass can. It’s wonderful. Also available on Amazon which makes it easy to find
