Finally made it up to the Ahr Valley, stunning location and stunning Pinot Noir. Young producer just inherited the vineyards, making some exceptional wine — 4 years ago

Tricky blind if there wasn't a preceding Portugieser in the line-up. Very elegant with notes of cherries, roses, and dried spices, along with a touch of smoke and musk. Fresh and juicy on the palate. Simpler, but very enjoyable - an impressive effort considering the varietal. — 3 years ago

This was about as good as the 2021 Vintage. A typical Cotes Du Rhône, very similar to a good Pinot Noir with lighter tannins but full bodied. Notes of cherry with a gentle aftertaste. Still warming, but not quite as warming as a Cab Sav or a Merlot — 3 days ago
