This is the 2010 Yalumba Signature Series Cabernet Shiraz named in honour of Yalumba Ambassador Jane Ferrari who is holding the bottle next to me. Jane travels the world spruiking the Gospel of Yalumba in the most entertaining and knowledgeable way. This was an outstanding Cabernet Shiraz Blend. Equal in quality and cellaring potential to Penfolds Bin 389. Blackberry and chocolatey tannins. Sweet berry fruit still with noticeable oak and a long cellaring potential. A classic wine for a classic lady who would get a job in Stand up Comedy if she wasn’t so good at her current job!!! @Delectable — 8 years ago

Not the champagne I had in mind for tonight, but sometimes circumstances play their part.
This is pleasant enough. It will go well with my almond tart later.
The mouthfeel shows nice mousse, somewhat lively acidity, bruised golden/red/green apple to apple sauce, bruised pear, white citrus blend-grapefruit w/ pith leading, quince, touch of brown sugar, some yeastiness, baguette crust, graham cracker, volcanic minerals w/ clay, white spice, caramel notes, vanillin, sea spray, grippy, grainy chalk, sea fossils-oysters, limestone marl, withering lilies, spring flowers, nice acidity and a well balanced, good length, elegant finish that lasts nearly 90 second and lands on mid intensity minerals and spice.
Photos of; the champagne house of Veuve Clicqoit and the widow herself. You see her under the metal gage and plated over the cork.

C’est très bon mais un poil trop puissant pour moi. Belle évolution mais le vin a encore une longue vie devant lui — 8 years ago

This was a very good sparkling from winc where many of their sparkling wines can be okay but not mind blowing. — 8 years ago

See previous Delectable notes for this Cuvee. Quite ripe and new world in this 2015 vintage. This is my last bottle of an original 6. This wine made by Australian, Jane Eyre who has worked in Burgundy for almost 25 years. The news earlier this year is that Jane will take over as winemaker at Domaine du Comte Armand in Pommard - an Estate owned by the Comte Armand family since 1828. Congratulations to Jane and we wish her every success. — 15 days ago
