I am consistently surprised by which rosé takes control at our shop year after year. This summer it’s been Alkoomi hands down. Our first year carrying this Frankland River blend of Grenache with splashes of Mataro, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. Incredibly pale in the glass. Medium bodied with strawberry, tangerine, and (per their website) lemon biscuit. It’s true there is a citrusy biscotti note here. I must admit, I’m a convert and have probably drank a case of this at home over the course of the summer. Family winery that farms sustainably. What will next year bring? — 2 months ago

Very nice blend — 3 years ago
Very bold, earthy and full bodied. Olive, cardamom chocolate and blackberry. 80% Cabernet 20% Shiraz. 15% ABV. Bought in Niseko Japan about 4 years ago at a wine shop run by an Aussie would you believe. Intended drinking this at the ski resort and ended up bringing it home. This is a sibling to the legendary DUCK MUCK from this estate which used to change hands for four figures on the secondary market after a 100 point rating from Robert Parker. Hearty and flavoursome - a good Winter Red. Would be tough going on a hot day in Summer. — a year ago
I’m actually across the street from Finca Cortesin at our new part time Casares home. 8.50€ from a small bakery/gourmet shop. I liked this enough to buy a second bottle. — 2 years ago
So good! Tasted at Highlands Wine Shop & brought a bottle home. — 4 years ago

Very earthy, peppery, and spicy in the aromas. Very soft and smooth in the start on the palate, bolder and dryer in the finish. Some complexity, but easy for a Cabernet Franc. — a month ago
