Amazing. Thank you Xander Soren!! — 4 years ago
Promising red fruit on the nose but a bit too tannic—decanting was de rigueur. After 45 minutes it was better but still tight. It took a full two hours to open up fully and show interesting notes of tobacco, earth and pencil shavings to balance the fruit and acid. Tells me that I should wait another five years before opening my remaining bottles. Enjoyed the 2021 vintage with prime ribeye cap steak from Costco, chicken liver pate and Taleggio cheese, with visiting family (William, Teresa, Xander and Samantha). — 6 months ago
Had with Loic, Tina, loic's brother and Tina's friend Xander, daveed, chez nous for picnic. A bit peillant initially but as it opened up it had amazing structure, subtle but rich flavor, not juicy at all. Would have again after airing it out a bunch. — 8 years ago
Great full body wine. Packs the kick of cab. Spicy and not too sweet. Good finish in back of mouth. Buy again. Bought at Bonnie Brae, Xander rec. — 3 years ago
I’m biased but this is my favorite vintage. — 3 years ago
Wow what a wine, totally convincing. Cabernet Franc flagshipstore. Concentration and depth, green notes, pencilpoint. (For @Xander Waller : sms chin on to buy a case) — 9 years ago

Excellent lighter bodied pinot. Needed an hour to open up but no reduction on opening. Raspberries, flowers on the nose. Fruit forward with strawberries, a creaminess, just a hint of baking spice, tart raspberries, some forest/umami like character, it’s definitely fruity but there’s a balance to it. I would definitely buy again. I think I liked this better than the racines blend. One of the top Pinots from SB. — 2 days ago
