Another entrant in the burgeoning So Cal winemaking scene. Met Dusty Herrmann and the York brothers when they were picking Mission and Grenache in the Bob Munoa vineyard last fall. This one is from the high desert of Antelope Valley, and is an interesting and fun field blend of Alicante Bouchet, Chardonnay, Muscat, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Viognier and Zin. Dark Rosé color, beautifully expressive nose, and light on its feet at 13.15%. Only had a small taste, but enjoyed it enough to order two bottles, along with their Mission, Alicante Bouschet Rosé and Amber Muscat. Certainly an interesting new project! — 4 years ago
Vibrant deep pink. Juicy strawberry and red cherry on the nose and the medium bodied palate. Firm, mouth-watering acidity and… oh let’s cut the pretense! This is freaking great. Full of fruit, like an Anjou, but dry and refreshing. I honestly can’t think of a better all-around rosé. You like ‘em fruity? This is your wine! You like ‘em crisp? This is your wine! Buy a bottle and drink it now with a salade Niçoise or soft cheese or just alone as a sipper. — 4 years ago
I got my hair done for the first time in 4 months on Friday. Between running my own full time business and #mumlife I tend to put these types of things down the bottom of my to do list. Terrible I know.
So after I got home feeling wonderful and relaxed, I just had to pop something yummy to continue the pampering and Koonara kindly gifted me this sample bottle earlier in the week so I couldn’t resist. Plus my outfit seemed to match 🤷♀️
The Guardian Angel 2020 Sparkling Chardonnay from Mount Gambier is named after the ‘angel’s share’. It’s typical in the wine and whiskey world when you use oak barrels for maturation. Because barrels are porousness some of the liquid inside disappears during the aging process. Therefore it’s the angels share ⭐️
We loved it! From it’s fresh lemon shade on the eye to its juicy apricot, lemon & lime sherbet and shortbread on the nose. Not to mention it’s ultra smooth mousse, balance across the palate and delicate refreshing apple driven finish. A gorgeous sparkling for only $25!
This #wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.

Sweet but not lingeringly. Very natural and smooth. So good! — 4 years ago
