This is quite impenetrable. Dark fruit/ on the nose brooding, almost inky blue fruit. Underneath blackcurrant, slate, black pepper, tarriness. Then in the palate pure, pure dark fruit and lean minerality. An exceptionally well preserved bottle, but a long time ahead. Great balance. — 6 years ago
From one of the region’s all-time greatest vintages, aromatic, musty and earthy on the nose with dried violets, the signature aroma of roses, damp forest floor, dried red cherries. The palate is amazingly fresh and vibrant despite its age with terrific depth and complexity. The finish is long and seductive. 💥 — 6 years ago

Tasted blind. Dark reddish tawny color. Refined nose with notes of black fruit, provencal herbs, earth and a little wood. In the mouth it's more linear than opulent. Several struggled with guessing the varietal and origin, especially me as I guessed old Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Even with more air it wasn't easy to identify this as Bordeaux, perhaps because of the vintage. Yet this was a decent wine and by no means a disappointment. — 6 years ago
