What a terrific cab! Still a dark brooding young wine (at 17)! Wonderfully long finish and still excellent grip. During this confinement at least the Jonathan Club prepared prime rib dinners for grab&go! We are so appreciative of everyone efforts especially the JC & Phelps! — 5 years ago
Virtual tasting/happy hour with great friends. Some of whom live just minutes away 🤦🏻♂️ looking forward to seeing friends again soon. The 🍷 was delicious, the old vines always brings a nice tinge of spice. Spring delivery arrived today so better make room! — 5 years ago
Delicious 1999 savennieres with homemade butternut squash spaetzle.
So rich and textured, very little oxidation, not showing it’s age at all. Mouthcoating... plenty of honeycomb and some green apple and seashell. Continuing to evolve. Perfect pairing so far. Cheers! — 5 years ago
A well reviewed vintage after several poor years.
1.5 hour decant (some chunky sediment). A thrilling dark ruby red with little bricking. On the nose: green veggie, eucalyptus, earth, smoke, plum, and a little of that aged Bordeaux sweetness thrown in there too. Taste: leather, cedar, little raspberry, and gravel. Low acidity, a medium graphite finish with some slightly bitter tannins.
Lean and mean....where's the elegance and character???..........drink em if you got em, don't think more age will help. Careful with Bordeaux 95....from my experience, don't believe some have aged well. My last 95 is a Margaux and I am going to pop in a hurry. — 5 years ago

Geeky and tasty.
Lovely nose. Expansive. Rich bit not vulgar. As it opens a savory element.
Delicious fruit. Fuji apples with crisp minerality. Hint of yummy iodine?
Finish has this lovely refined richness as this opens. Terrific.
As this open more almost like this fine non obnoxious sherry like finish. Spectacular. — 5 years ago
