Wanderer's Heart Red Blend 2017

Wow! Wonderful GSM - light but structured and complex. Spice that satisfies the palate but doesn’t overwhelm the food. Agree with all of the Somme’s reviews below - sub this for a Pinot anyway! *note to self for wine shop, BUY AGAIN! — 3 years ago

Alsace Riesling 2018

Après ski winner. Also note Advil in the background - blizzard ski trip recovery necessity — 3 years ago

Honig

Reserve Rutherford Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Lemon & grapefruit nose, body fairly full and complex, kissed by oak with nice minerality melded with pear & lemon. Reminds me of L’Arrivet Haut Brion, a definite keeper on-the-list — 3 years ago

La Granja Nuestra Señora de Remelluri

Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2013

What an awesome rioja from out grad year - and it practically took us back to Logrono to boot. Paired with spicy (as well as some super-traditional) gambas al ajillo, and stood up well to both. I would say legitimately one of the better wines I’ve had in a long time, if not ever. Would absolutely recommend, esp. if you have a more French cote du Rhône or Oregon pinot palate. — 3 years ago

Bodegas y Viñedos Valderiz

Ribera del Duero Tempranillo 2017

Cooked blackberries/cherries, dark cocoa, black pepper, smoked meats/tobacco, touch of herbs (maybe bay leaf?); high and present, but balanced, tannins, medium acidity, drinks quite smooth; Worthy of a few years of aging. Rec from Mark at BG. $30 — 3 years ago
