Château Cos d'Estournel

Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 1988

Drunk review 5: this tastes bushy. I know this, because I’ve been pushed into bushes. Blackberry, cardamon. Airy, woodsy aftertaste. Super enjoyable. Would pair this with pets for a Brittany dog, a English Setter, or a Norwegian Elk hound— a dog that enjoys navigating the woods. — 4 years ago

Bushiness is the best and usually gets trash talked. Amazing review and happy tasting!

Domaine Tempier

Bandol Rosé Blend 2018

Happy V-Day to all the Delectable homies. Lil fancy pink stuff to ring in the evening. Thought I might age this a few years just to see what happens but sometimes you gotta pull that cork. There was some sediment! Just tasting like the South of France in a glass. Cheers! — 4 years ago

Lodi Zinfandel 2018

9.1

I’m on vacation, so the afternoon demands a glass of something good. This is my first taste of a Sandlands Zinfandel from @ownrooted, who I always assumed was contractually barred from bottling Zin under his own label. Wonderfully fresh and bright with blackberry and boysenberry fruit and a hint of green herbs and black pepper. Fantastic acidity and the faintest of tannins. At 14.4% most CA Zin producers would have said it ain’t ripe, but that’s why it’s got that gulpable, juicy brightness. A perfect afternoon refresher. — 4 years ago

@Alder Yarrow it might be the best Zinfandel I’ve had from Lodi. It’s certainly right up there

Eugenio Bocchino

Roccabella Langhe Nebbiolo 2016

A wonderful wine. Some inky, gamay notes, strawberry-blackberry syrup, delightful aftertaste, some tobacco up front. Probably hard to find better at the price range. — 4 years ago
