Müller-Catoir

Haardt Riesling 2017

Pop and pour. Notes from 4 hrs open. Wow. On the nose: peach and apple with some wax and char sidenotes. On the palate: a suggestion of sweetness in the first hr is replaced by fantastic acidity, nettle, lemon and lime with time. Lovely density on the vibrant finish. — 2 years ago

Weingut Seehof

Pinot Noir Rosé 2020

A fun yet serious Pinot Noir Tröcken Rose defined by its clarity, balance and freshness. Driven by a limestone backbone and high acidity, the fruit has crystal-clear flavors of strawberries, cherry skin and peach. SUPERB! — 2 years ago

Ranga Ranga

Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2021

Unusual in a good way. Love the hints of jalapeno, but it's also floral with hints of minerality. Enjoyable and unique. — 2 years ago

Napa Valley Merlot 2015

Not big on Merlot but this Merlot makes me think "Melot? I love Merlot, I live for Merlot, I'm crazy about Merlot!" — 2 years ago

Ridge Vineyards

Three Valleys Sonoma County Zinfandel Blend 2019

2019. My wife and daughter sent a couple photos of the World Market wine selection for me to help pick something out for grilled steaks at my brother’s… a quick scan and seeing Ridge made the choice a no-brainer. Young, but paired great! — 2 years ago

Château Pontet-Canet

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2011

Picked up a couple cases when was at there in 2015- always a treat and a perfect expression of a Pauillac / Bordeaux Cab. Smooth and delightful with the perfect amount of fruit forward-ness. Finishes light, perfect with some rich cheeses for a French bistro night in. I need to go back so I can restock asap! :) — 2 years ago

Thierry Allemand

Cornas Reynard (R) Syrah 2013

What will always be some of my absolute favorite wines, Allemand’s 2013 Reynard is in a terrific place after sufficient aeration flaunting captivating and distinct Allemand aromas of dark fruits, violets, coal smoke, olive tapenade and a crushed rock minerality. The palate is deep, structured and harmonious with killer detail, finesse and elegance to balance its riveting intensity, power and verve. The texture of Allemand’s wines always stand out to me. Silky, vibrant and layered, it saturates the palate with all its glory and finely grained tannins before its lengthy mineral inflicted finish. Drink em young drink em old, and in between, Allemand is a rare miss. 🫶🏻 — 2 years ago
