Opens with orange peel and white pepper, cider, tea, all sorts of florals. Oxidative, tart and perfumed. Perfect trifecta in this beautiful amber wine.
Day two it is more prominently mineral, more lemon-focused citrus, and showing an aroma of brown bread. Really quite wonderful. — 4 years ago
This wine pisses me off it is so good. It is alive. I hate to kill it but I must for the job. Drink chilled. It’s peppers and flowers and pastilles and it prickles the tongue. There is perhaps a teeny hint of brett at the end. The pleasant type of grounds this dancing prancing enchanting wine. — 4 years ago
Wow! For some reason this wine is pretty well allocated in the Midwest. What a beautiful bottle. The nose Screams bright red fruit think raspberry, cherries, Red currents. This wine has a fantastic acidity to it gripping yet balanced. Lighter in style this wine is insanely drinkable at 12.5%. Easily one of my top 10 wines of the year, perfect wine for summer with a slight chill on it. — 4 years ago

On the pallet, it is heavy; starts off with a burst of freshness, followed by citrus acidity, and a sweet vanilla-like medium finish. Bold and intriguing with sweet intentions. After a several hours of airtime however, the sweet intentions are converted on to fresh lusty vives... — 4 years ago
I recently acquired a couple of tins of boutique caviar so I thought it fitting to spoil my parents and their out-of-town friends with a fun caviar tasting, and where there’s caviar there ought to always be champagne. My wife & I picked trusty ol’ Charles Ellner for the occasion and, per usual, it did just fine 👌🏻 — 4 years ago

Slightly richer style but still light on the mouthfeel. Hyde vineyard is such a consistent producer of high quality grapes and PH did a fantastic job with them! — 4 years ago
