Surprised by the generosity, drinking quite well for how young it is. Open-knit, true to place, moderately framed with some true charm to it. Really enjoyed over a few days. Deep red fruit, almost succulent, soaked cherries and lots of licorice root, cedar, cinnamon, flowers and tar. There’s a undertone of earth. From a tannin perspective these appear ripe, with moderate intensity relatively speaking. — 5 years ago
Just picked up the 2016 Evening Land Seven Springs Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley.
On the nose there there is good fruit of cherry, raspberry, cranberry, plum, cola, vanilla, rose petal and dusty soil.
On the palate I am getting strawberry, cherry, cranberry, some tartness, mushroom, spice, minerality and earth.
The wine is medium bodied with medium + acidity and medium fine polished tannins that lead into a medium to long finish. I never get tired of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. I can have this any time and with any food. I hope everyone's week has started off good and we can hope the rest of the week will be wonderful. Please be safe and stay strong. A rich, ripe nose with minty edges, dark blackcurrant fruit. Really zesty and lush with wood still quite prominent. Very pure and deep and long. Very good — 5 years ago
