Really struggled with this one. I enjoy Ghislaine's wines and love her passion. This 06 Cras is very shut down and gave almost nothing on the nose even after 2 hours. The palate was tight and closed as well with acidity edging out the fruit at this point. Check in after a few more years.

Very light, earthy, and oak. Sour and acidic on the front. But very smooth on the finish. #burgundywine #pinotnoir — 8 years ago
Pale ruby hue with evidence of garnet. Subtle haziness. Lots of red fruit on the nose - cherry pie, ripe strawberries, cranberries, raspberries, and vanilla, leather, mushroom, dried rose, and cherry blossoms. Refreshingly tart on the palate. Lovely wine. Upon further reflection, perhaps not the *ideal* complement to this particular meal (pan-seared pork chop and creamy three-apple salad), but still very nice. Taste, learn, repeat. #savignylesbeaune #burgundywine #pinotlover #pinotnoir #burgundypremiercru #lesserpentières #patrickjavillier #côtedebeaune #côtedor — 5 years ago
Giving nose showed red berries, sous bois, floral notes. Sweet mature fruit on the palate with medium tannins, acidity in check. Pleasant drinking 83. #jeanchauvenet #nuitsstgeorges #lesvaucrains #burgundywine #redburgundy — 6 years ago
From half bottle. Citrus and saline, hint of matchstick. Clean and snappy on the palate, great mid-palate density. Nice bottle for price range.

Reserved nose of lemon-lime, green apple, wet stone. Steely and pure on the palate, citrus & saline. Kept opening adding weight. Will hold a few more years before approaching again.

Burgundy from the lower end of Cote Chalonnaise. It’s light and earthy with a soft nose of mushrooms from an enchanted forest. Oh, so good! Love this Mercurey. #mercurey #burgundywine #bourgogne #frenchwines — 7 years ago

It was pleasant but there really wasn’t the sustenance or the intensity that I was hoping for. #chambollemusigny #pinotnoir #burgundywine — 5 years ago
