#Orange wine... interesting! — 7 years ago
One of my favorite wines, and one of #ChanningDaughters #orange wines. Skin fermentation yields apricot and pear skin and just a bit of tannins. Drinks like a red but the color of pale ochre — 10 years ago
Went upscale 🤠 during Christmas evening with this orange, near-extinct, full bodied Albana di Romagna Secco. Matched only with a frugal dinner of cold cuts, cheese and arugula this orange wine was spot-on! Much welcomed acidity for a 14,5% vol. Tropical fruits, some nutty aromas. A great discovery indeed!

Clove, nutmeg, cayenne, paprika, grounded black pepper & white pepper spice combo. citrus pith, astringent tannins but for an #orange is really pleasant #georgianwine — 9 years ago

#Orange wine SZN. I’m skeptical yet hopeful about the orange wine renaissance, probably the first real fad I’ve observed since becoming a more educated wine drinker. I’m all for more variety and more interesting shit. Sadly, this friend doesn’t bring a whole lot to write home about. It’s a very pleasant but one-note Grenache Blanc with the quirks of tannins and the orange color. Which is all well and good but for $20+ I’m expecting a little more. In other words:
1. Skin fermentation
2. ???
3. Profit
