KVR Knights Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Founded by Jacob Beringer, Vineyard was established in 1876. Dark Ruby with aromas ripe dark fruits. sweet spice and cedar notes. On the palate blackberry and cherry with cinnamon and vanilla notes, great balance with acidity. Soft tannins, great mouthfeel, long finish, should age well for a few years! Nice!!

Good juice. Sweet, hot cocoa on the nose. Palate is altogether different. Tannin and body abound. Dark fruit, ripe in some corners but balanced with appropriate grip in the back end. Kind of hot as well. Lay it down for the short term.

We buy it again

Powerful, opulent with 5 years of age. Strong nose of ripe black fruit and cassis. Silky smooth and thick on the palate with a nice,lingering finish. Honestly,the Knights Valley vineyard produces excellent Cabernets and this is a great example. 2014 vintage on Dec 28, 2019

Perfect wine to pair with chocolate. Make sure you take your socks off because otherwise they will immediately be incinerated when drink this wine

Plush, round, great fruit

Great nose, but still young. Not ready on the finish. Another year or two to come back (TWE).

Fruity cab with a smooth finish. Pairs nicely with chocolate covered almonds.

Oak some vanilla and warm spices cardomom on palate. Tannllins are strong mid palate nose has bright blackberry pretty wine.

You will get almost everything you expect in a good Napa Cab here. Good balance, classic fruit, and some interesting flavors. A little more depth and character would take this wine to the next level.
