Bernard Magrez
Château Fombrauge Saint-Èmilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend
Drank 4/27/21. Paired with burgers, but this calls for a steak.
Nose of raspberry coulis, plums, and an earth/almost petrol note, that remains even after a couple of hours (I'm ok with this). Black cherry, blackberry, plums, earthand tar, mingle with medium plus tannins on the palate. Finishes dark, with blackberry and tar which go on for around 50 seconds
4/21/8/4/4 +50 =91 pts.
Drink now for primary fruit, but should hold for another 10-15 years.

Blend of mostly Merlot & splash of Cab Franc, deep Ruby with aromas of red berry fruits and notes of cedar spice. On the palate black cherry and red plums with cacao, tobacco and woodsy spice. Lively acidity, firm tannins, nice balance, long finish ending with fruit, oak and earthy herb spice. Nice now.

Jan 19th, 2021The weekend before the 4th of July has crept up on us and I have opened a gift given to me from my oldest son from this past Christmas. The 2015 Château Fombrauge from St. Emilion. A Right Bank Bordeaux is a blend of 93% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc.
On the nose is very expressive black cherry, black plum, blackberry, black currant, chocolate, graphite, cedar box, vanilla, violets and faint oak.
The palate is a myriad of opulence with black cherry, blackberry, black plum, bell pepper, spices, black currant and graphite.
This wine is full bodied with a silky mouth feel, medium + acidity and medium + fine tannins that lead into a long beautiful black fruit finish. Have a wonderful weekend and please be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Prominent, sometimes cologne like nose with bold fruits, raisins, slate, cedar and tobacco pushing forth. Silky palate, thought tannins are still tight, with notes of mushroom, plum jam, coca nibs, tar and cigar smoke on the palate.

Feb 25th, 2021Выпито 1 октября 2020 года в L’Angolo с Болдыревым А. Очень нежное и мягкое Мерло 2015 года. Очень понравилось.
