A southern Rhone blend from a very warm and forward vintage Saskatoon berry pie blueberry raspberry and cherry pomegranate a bit from red mountain most of the fruit from Yakima pretty floral notes a potpourri of incense spice and a lovely freshness to the finish. A very smooth and silky wine with wonderful balance and structure, a long zesty finish. Finish 45+ most excellent

Cork broke apart with a standard corkscrew and had to use the Durand. Apparently my last btl, about 6.5 years ago, was just in an awkward phase. This is stunning right now. On the nose: olive tapenade, pomegranate molasses, lavender, herbs, hint of roast meat...fantastic complexity. On the palate: lovely acidity, salt, crushed olive, char, leather, soft cola. Amazing density, and attenuated tannin on the soft finish. While this definitely has life, I feel like it is at peak. Right now: wow.
