Nice value in a balanced Cali Chardonnay. Nose has beautiful pear juice, a little char from the oak, but not too much, and a wet clay-like earthy note. Round and balanced in the mouth. Persistent finish. Comparable to a good Pouilly-Fuisse or Saint Veran.

2015 vintage. Intense nose with pineapple and flowers, Concentrated fruit, great acidity, perfectly integrated oak and exceptional complexity for this price range. Very good length too.

Definitely some malo and a little oak, but it’s still restrained compared to your stereotypical CA chard. In my mind, that’s a good thing. Paired well with a simple roast chicken.
