Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Sangiovese

Great accompaniment to gnocchi with meat sauce. Deep nose of dark cherry, old barrel scents, savory minerality, deep stony gravel. Mouthfilling savory flavors, with some cherry syrup notes, but tons of stony minerality. Vigorous acids and tannins keep it very athletic feeling in the mouth. Full bodied. Finish is dark and long.

I was in this region recently and the wine is outstanding. This being shipped here is pretty good not quite the same but I enjoyed it.

This is a little overripe and seems a bit out of balance, with noticeable (14.5% ABV) alcohol showing in the medium-long finish, good .

Aromatic, faint black pepper note, dark fruits, nice acid, good structure (needs further aging), medium-long finish, this is lovely with some fresh tomato pasta.

Nice redfruits and crisp acidity, but just a tad too thin in the mid-palate for me, enjoyable Italian red.
