Good Barolo and one of the best values from the Piedmont as far as I am aware of. Needs a while to open up, still tight. Could be a great wine down the road. James Suckling’s 92 points for this vintage seems high.

Incredibly tight at the moment so time will tell how it will open up. Distinct classic Barolo elements of roses and tar but hard to get any enjoyment from this right now. Something for 2030+.

Might not be our cup of tea or wine as it is. Dry and stringent. Never really opened up. The research says drink between 2018 and 2027 but when we opened it in 2025 it is already kind of oxidized. But still very tight and structured. Very little amount of fruit. Maybe we got a bad bottle? Or maybe Barolo is just not for us.

A bit sharp but earthy at the same time. Needs time to open up. Could stand more time in the bottle.

Seems very young, I’m not gonna touch it til 2020 or beyond. Narrow profile, never really opened up. Sharp tannins.

Love those 2013 Barolos! Very smooth, supple tannins but decent structure. Rose petals and red fruit on the nose. Tart red currants and strawberries.

Good, could be enjoyed without food. Light body for what I was expecting from a Barolo. Tasting preparation for Italy
