Casa Santos Lima
Reserva Confidencial Red Blend
For what it is... and for the price. It’s enjoyable.

Aug 3rd, 2020Juicy red and black fruits on this - jammy fruit comes off with less booze than expected. Would pair with just about anything. @Tōst

Aug 28th, 2019Lilacs and petals and such, a lovely, yet structured nose.
Soft, elegant mouthfeel, vanilla bean, strawberry, jolly rancher.- esque like flavours, though stop short of being overly cloying. An easy sipper, a crowd pleaser, and the perfect cleanser for a porch session of IPA drinking.

Great drinkable red. Dry but not too tannic.

Nov 19th, 2020Made from more than 10 grape varieties, this is a soft, round and delicious Portuguese red blend. Just enough tannins to keep it from being overly jammy. At C$15, it’s a sensational bargain.

Sep 7th, 2020A very good sipping wine. Drank the bottle while playing Sherlock Holmes. Had some Dubliner and cheap smoked Gouda with it but did well even when not eating.

Jul 26th, 2020Loaded with jammy black fruit. Deep and dark. Blend of ten different varietals. Hints of smoke, black tea, vanilla and Dr. Pepper. Relatively low acidity and light tannins. Goes down easy. Big and bold. Outstanding QPR. Revisited in December 2020. Still outstanding!
