Casanova di Neri
Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese
Established in 1971 when Giovanni Neri acquired a large estate in Montalcino. Aged for almost 4 years on oak, 100% Sangiovese. Ruby with aromas of ripe dark fruits, oak and spice. Full-bodied wine with medium+ acidity, fine developed smooth tannins with elegance & finesse. Ripe fruit flavors of cherry & strawberry, complex with notes of cacao, tobacco, toasty & earthiness on the long finish. Very nice, developed well. My Wow Wine! Still has room to age!

Aug 10th, 2019Casanova di Neri’s 2012 Brunello di Montalcino White Label was Wine Spectator’s #4 on their Top 100 wines of 2017. It’s been open for 30 minutes and I can’t believe they didn’t make this Wine of the Year. Intoxicatingly perfumed, it exudes confidence, and yet it’s all romance. Rose petal, citrus, fig, tar, brick, leather, sage, and spiced potpourri form a stunning mosaic.
