Chartogne-Taillet
Sainte Anne Brut Champagne Blend
Disgorged in September 2020, about a 60/40 blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Light creamy mousse with tiny bubbles, pale lemon color with aromas of stone and citrus fruits and floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple and peach with citrus zest, honeysuckle and slight nuttiness. Lively acidity with good balance, medium+ finish ending with fruit and biscuit notes.

Dec 21st, 2020The NV Brut Cuvée Ste.-Anne is one of the best Champagnes readers will find in its price range, or any price range, for that matter. Bright and beautifully focused, the Ste.-Anne has so much to offer. The purity of the flavors is just remarkable. If anything, it needs more time on the cork to soften, as it is quite reticent at this stage. This release is based on 2017, with reserve wines from 2016 and 2015. The blend is 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 20% Meunier, with the Chardonnay very much in evidence at this stage. Dosage is 5.15 grams/liter. Disgorged: February, 2020. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2020)

Sep 13th, 2018Usually about 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. Lots of brioche, lemon drop and spple on the nose with some wet stone joining in on the palate. This is a well-defined, medium body Champagne with great character at a terrific price.

A sip immediately tunes out the buzz of the bar, such is its utter precision that itself invites focus. Granny Smith apples and a touch of honeysuckle and with a terrific texture, this is a classy Champagne. I'm in for more.
