My dad opened this half bottle since we all wanted 2nds! Still young at 15, with dark fruit and very little fat. Serious claret!!!

Lovely sweet fruit and zippy acid. Very fine tannin just fading to a long finish. Probably has 5 years to go but excellent already.

Dar rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, anise and limestone. Very cabernet in the mouth with the peppery register, rounded up by the ripe Merlot. Great acidity and balance, an excellent bottle just lacking a bit of complexity which is typical of the 2000 bordeaux.

Showing very well. Attractive cedar and dark fruit on uncorking, opened up after 1-2 hours. Recorked anaerobically overnight, next day tannins fairly strong, needed air. This 16-yo cru classé from a big year is just entering maturity. It lives up to its name, "to chase away the blues."
