Drinking so well. A great wine and a first for me. It’s got so much freshness and energy is the headline. Nose is cassis, vanilla, tobacco, spice and some hints of black fruits. Also a background of awesome minerality. A plump nose which belies what comes on the palate. It’s rich but just teeming with energy and so much black and red fruit that is super crunchy and luscious. Gorgeous clarity to the minerality and a freshness I haven’t tasted in Bordeaux maybe ever. I really like the vibe of this wine. The finish keeps pumping. Very very impressive. It’s also so sappy on the finish and just outrageously complex.

Nose of black fruit, sweet pipe tobacco, and purple flowers. Sweet black fruit, tobacco, and medium, well integrated tannins on the palate. Long finish. An earlier drinking style, but could also age for many years.
Decanted 3 hours.

Thrilling. Enchanting fruit. Total transparency. Pleasure and sophistication on another level.

2016 vintage. Last tasted 11.21.21 (9.3), Body has thinned out from medium heavy/heavy body to medium body along with one of the best BDX noses I've ever scented still performing as such. The 11.21.21 notes still holding up. Sprinkle a little corn meal into that nose and we are golden. Wine is currently in a state of transition but still so giving. Ridiculous value BDX. Need to pick up another 4-5 bottles. This is going to be a fascinating journey. 02.17.25.

On open is quite vegetal. Needs an hour at this point to smooth out.

Nose: some game. Savory. Some pink and purple flowers.

Palate: savory. Cherries. Really meaty. Interesting. Still fresh but a wine that demands magret du canard. Good freshness.

Also would kill with duck leg confit.

A very well made Bordeaux.

Soooooooooperrrrrb! Wow for the money this is great. Classic but also intense. Long finish to die for. On the nose, cassis, honey, savory notes of oregano, sage and eucalyptus. Cedar and sandalwood. The palate a delish explosion of savory notes. This is Merlot and Cabernet Franc dominant, salt and briny green olives, tons of acid and more olive tapenade. This is a big one but super balanced out. 14.5%

Delicious. Just the right amount of bitter, clean, with the alcohol on the back end. The dusty gravel that you want from a Bordeaux. I’d drink a bottle of it.

Wonderfully delicious, but not as forward as anticipated. Fruity, not woody, but very mature fruits. Definitely wood buy again and worth the price!

2016 vintage. World-class nose of panini sando bread/grilled pain au levain, lavender, molasses, bruised plum and wine-country kitchen. Dark as a moonless night. Medium-heavy/heavy body with a brooding, hide-and-seek, mid-palate presence. Slightly spicy finish. Needs a half-decade to come grooving up slowly. Steel yourself to treat this with more patience than most but not as much as some. If opening soon, decant for at least two hours.
