Having this (and the '90) in my own cellar I've always had high hopes but have honestly not been impressed over the last decade, thinking they were starting to show the "hollowness" (caramelized/drying out/tannic version) of Sauternes in a not ideal vintage.
However this bottle tonight shared by a friend have my hopes back up.

A truly memorable experience. Intense amber (almost burnt sienna) color. Lively aromas and flavors of honey, caramel, dried pineapple and apricot. Hint of orange peel on the finish. Silky and smooth texture (honey-like). Great balance of sweetness and acidity. Time was very good to this beautiful Sauternes.
