Barnyard Bomba on open! Beautiful nose of leather, spruce pine, and stewed blackberry. Palate delivers a spicy version of the same, but with a milk chocolate center. Really delightful. Well balanced, medium alcohol, medium acidity, medium plus tannins. This will improve, but awesome now.

Well, I really liked this wine, Bugger what Parker says. The 2016. Small bottle. Soothes my shattered nerves.

This is a well made wine that is smooth to drink but honestly there isn’t much to the flavor. Good but a bit boring. I’d give it a B.

Purple hue with ruby rim variation. Noticeable extraction and tearing. Black fruit on the nose, baked blackberry pie, black currants, plum, cedar, nutmeg, delicate allspice, and licorice.

Heirloom cherry tomatoes, creamy buffalo burrata, basil, and champagne vinaigrette softened the black fruit flavors of this left bank Bordeaux; it was a lovely pairing partner (can imagine many other dishes it would complement). A duet of pleasures.

Aromas of flint, currents and dark cherry. Tobacco, leather and black cherry flavors. Dark purple color but not much of a mid pallet. (Wine kind of disappears for a moment). Full bodied but soft tannins. A tad sour on the finish. Did improve on the second day. Needs to sleep a bit longer.

T: dark, very cab
D: brick T: brick with tannic finish, velvet plum. Couple of more years aging will bring out more fruit. Will be outstanding.
