Cune Gran Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend
Aged nicely at this point. Mellowed out tannins, well integrated dried fruit. Balanced.

Great house. Great wine.

Oct 11th, 2022Clove, plum, menthol, raisin and tar. Ripe but so pure and full of sun. Deep fruited with a substantial body. Dried damson plum, a light touch of cocoa powder. Great acid. Absolutely a top producer and overlooked.

Nov 12th, 2021Beauty. Multi-layered and complex. Lots of earthy notes hitting on the tail-end. This is a well-made wine.

Jan 19th, 2020A little disappointing, seemingly quite thin and falling short on various notes. I have another bottle, which I’ll leave for another 5-10 years - I do believe this is a wine with ageing potential.

May 20th, 2019In 1879, two brothers decided to set up a wine business, C.V.N.E., Compañía Vinicola del Norte de España (The Northern Spanish Wine Company) or la Cuné, as it is commonly known in Haro, was created and still kept in the traditional neighborhood of the Haro station today. Very deep red with dark berry aromas and complex spices. On the palate blackberry, cherry and sweet currant with herb, leather and pepper spice. Fine tannins, well balanced showing depth and structure on a lingering finish with room to age. Tasting Sample.
