A lot of layers; black raspberry, cassis, spice and licorice. This young Cab will only get better. Picking up on chocolate and plum too. Chewy texture.

This was an excellent wine. It had both flavors of strawberry cranberry and maybe hints of tobacco and chocolate on the finish. A wonderful texture and was delicious right out of the bottle. This is my first experience with Daou Vineyards and I came away really impressed. They will certainly become a go to for me. The wine went perfectly with the prime ribeye steaks that accompanied it. It was nice to crack open a good bottle like this while my brother Michael was visiting from Northern California.
