Decided to go crazy and try this with venison ground/stew/chorizo chili on a cold night. The spice plays very well with the bright and open wine. Balanced fruit, dark and ripe, gives just enough sweet to compliment the savory/spicy meal.

Fairly funky on the nose. Dried fruit, oak, and sweet forest aromatics are persistent. Full in the mouth with a fair amount of grip and balanced acidity.
