Absolute throwing smoke with charred lamb chops. Opened up quite a bit in the last few months since I tasted it last. Description unimportant tonight. Gamey, meaty, spicy, iodine, & tart red fruits. All about the pairing tonight.

Delicious and full of energy. Not as polished as the CR, but distinctly northern Rhone and really good.

Imagine standing beside a French barn with a stone base over rough timber. The door is open with horses inside. Olive trees and tilled soil to one side. Violets, prickly roses, and lilacs grow wild to the other side. After some air, the horses wander away.

After reading the horse review here I decided to stick with it. And I’m glad I did. After airing out a bit, this truly well balanced wine sings with acid, bright fruit and the perfectly subtle hints of tannins that ever so slightly dry you out, begging for more Jamet : )
